What is conversational commerce?
Conversational commerce is the practice of using real-time messaging to engage customers at every stage of their journey — from first contact to post-purchase support. Coined by Chris Messina in 2015, it describes the shift from one-way business communication to genuine two-way dialogue via SMS, chat, and social messaging.
What is an Active Contact?
An Active Contact is any contact you have viewed or messaged within the past 30 days. Your subscription plan determines how many Active Contacts you can have per month. Contacts you haven't engaged with in 30+ days do not count toward your active limit.
What can Chatfully do?
Chatfully centralizes your business messaging across SMS/MMS, web chat, and social DM (Facebook Messenger) in one shared platform. Features include: mass campaigns, contact management, shared team inboxes, role-based permissions, auto-replies, keyword triggers, custom profile fields, and chat analytics.
What languages does Chatfully support?
The Chatfully platform interface is currently available in English. You can send and receive messages in any language supported by your connected channels and carriers.
What browsers does Chatfully support?
Chatfully works best on modern, up-to-date browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.
Getting Started
Day 1 checklist — what should I do first?
Here's the recommended sequence to get up and running quickly:
- Import your contacts — Go to the Contacts page and import a CSV or add contacts individually
- Unify your channels — Connect your SMS number, web chat widget, or Facebook Messenger in Settings > Channels
- Configure your inbox — Create or configure an inbox that connects to your channel(s) in Settings > Inboxes
- Invite your team — Go to Settings > Team and invite team members with appropriate roles
- Send your first message — Go to Chats, start a new conversation, and say hello
